Diversity and Talent

At the heart of our reimagined organisation is a deep commitment to the people agenda and when we say people we mean employees and volunteers. We believe in delivering a people agenda that builds a one TeamTCS, creates a star organisation over star teams and ensure that all people feel included and have the opportunities to thrive.   We are ready and determined to create a human focused approach led by our Executive Director of Diversity & Talent who is really excited to be leading this agenda and a great team who are all passionate and believe in the human approach to our work.

We see diversity and inclusion as fundamental to achieving social change. To tackle the complex issues facing young people, we need access to diverse talent, perspectives, experiences and working practices. Applications from diverse backgrounds and communities are encouraged and we have policies to support flexible, inclusive, and accessible employment.

The Diversity and Talent domain supports an organisational commitment to invest in people and culture at The Children’s Society (TCS) with a diversity and inclusion lens first.  There is continued investment and support for all things people and therefore we are committed to providing professional expertise in all areas of our work and we are setting ourselves up to be:

  • A trusted strategic people partner to the organisation
  • Truly integrated across TCS
  • Leading a human approach to employees and volunteers
  • Respected leaders in our expertise inside and out of TCS
