Christingle Speaker (3186)

Do you want to make a difference this Christmas? Can you inspire people to support our work?

This year we celebrate 50 years since The Children’s Society brought Christingle to this country. For 50 years, Christingle services have helped The Children’s Society to work with more than a million children and young people. These well-loved Christmas celebrations bring churches together, help them to share the Christian story and raise money for young people who feel alone at Christmas.

If you love Christingle, can talk with passion to audiences both large and small and would like to help the most vulnerable children in England then we would love you to consider speaking for The Children’s Society at Christingle services this Christmas.

We need people like you to make a real difference by increasing awareness of our vital work over the Christingle period (December-February). You will thank existing supporters and motivate new people to get involved in our work and donate their time and money.

This role will include the following:

  • Delivering talks at Christingle services in churches to raise awareness of the issues facing vulnerable children and explain how we are here to help
  • Encouraging attendees at each Christingle to give to their collection to support the work of The Children’s Society
  • Feeding back to us after every talk using the Speaker Feedback Form

The role description provides more information on the tasks that might be involved.
