Are you passionate about supporting children and young people impacted by domestic abuse?

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Domestic Abuse & Well-being Practitioner to join our team, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 18 across Greater Manchester.

About the Role:

You’ll provide 1:1 outreach support tailored to the individual emotional health and wellbeing needs of children and young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse.

Sessions will focus on:

  • Promoting emotional resilience and positive mental health
  • Helping young people understand and navigate healthy vs. unhealthy relationships
  • Supporting safety planning and emotional regulation
  • Advocating for the voice of the child/young person
  • Providing practical tools and self-help strategies

You will also work closely with those who have housing or accommodation needs arising from domestic violence and abuse.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience of working with children suffering from social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
  • Ability to adapt interventions for ages 5–18
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • A commitment to empowering young people and listening to their voices
