Shop Manager

37 hours per week, [over 7 days, to include Sundays]

Location: Westhoughton Shop - to be flexible to work in other shops in region if requested

Do you like being creative?  Or looking for a hidden treasure? Have you got Retail/Management experience? Are you looking for a new challenge in 2020?

We are looking for a Shop Manager to lead our team in the Westhoughton shop, you will be working in a creative environment, working with donated goods to maximise sales and net contribution.

You will make a real difference to young people in England by helping to raise the vital funds needed to support our frontline work. You will need to be driven and focused on making money, and have good communication skills both inside and outside the shop, reaching out to the local community to help build support for the shop.

As a Shop Manager you will manage an Assistant Shop Manager along with a team of diverse Volunteers, you will need great people skills and be confident at working with people from different backgrounds creating a welcoming and positive experience for all of our staff, volunteers and supporters.

The framework is split into 3 levels: senior manager, manager and individual and you will be assessed against the level that is relevant to the role you are applying for. The framework is our organisation’s basis for how we expect everybody to work together, how we treat each other and how we carry out our work. In your application and interview you will need to consider the behaviours and give us relevant examples where you have demonstrated these from your previous experience.
